"To be honest I’ve never tried either dollification or bimbotizing... Sounds interesting to me. Have you tried either yourself? Does it work?"
Well Darcy, that depends I think. It depends on whether or not you really want it and how deep you go into hypnosis and how often and persistent you are with it. Also I think I think the letting go through relaxation is super important as to whether or not it can work. The type of hypnosis you prefer and methods used as well as what you feel affects you the most. For some working one on one with a live hypnotist may work best if you feel comfortable with trying that; it's certainly much more interactive. But if you're kind of shy and reserved like me you might prefer to just listen to recordings or watch videos. It depends I think on how serious you are and/or how committed aka how bad you want/feel you need what you are after, which can itself be fueled by emotional/sexual desire and needs. Repetition reinforces neural pathways and so if you repeatedly delve into living out your fantasies thru hypnosis, by allowing your mind to turn off or switch into a new head-space, different sorts of fun and liberating experiences can occur. But as I've heard, "all hypnosis is self-hypnosis" in a sense, even though someone else may be helping you along. When it comes to fetishes, sensuality and sexual desire, I think if it's not something you already want or desire, nobody is likely going to force you through hypnosis to do anything you don't already at least secretly wish for. If a hypnotist or recording happens to be trying to push something on you that you absolutely DON'T want or desire or goes AGAINST your wishes, that is almost certainly not going to work, not the least of which because it can trigger your defenses which can quickly break you out of trance. But some people get off on being forced or made to do things they don't want to do as in BDSM aka bondage/domination-slave/master type kinks and fetishes. So I guess it's just about what you're really looking for. Because if being made to do things you don't want to that you have even subconscious repressed desires for creating an inverse dichotomy of opposing beliefs somehow turns you on, then the Hegelian Dialectic can take over and through trance you may experience psychosomatic mental/emotional synthesis. Sensual/erotic hypnosis I do believe can change a person on some levels over time by allowing you at the very least to develop an almost second personality where you can explore your feelings allow yourself to play out your fantasies. I think this can create a "safe space" to experiment with new experiences in a quiet space, in comfort through your computer, or phone. Hypnosis obviously offers at least a temporary escape from the world and it's various stressful concerns; like a temporary mental vacation you can go off to whenever you want or need to just check out for awhile. In other words it offers a space where one can seek release and turn inward for awhile to in many cases shut off ones mind through trance, to relax, rejuvenate and reset. This I think in and of itself is a totally healthy and natural thing to want to do. If you've ever listened to a progressive relaxation session or similar hypnosis that invites you to shut off your thoughts and get back in touch with the feelings in your body then you may be able to relate. But for fair warning, hypnosis may get to be a little addicting for that relaxation it can provide, and when you realize it can even work better than drugs, in my opinion. But anyways over time also, once you get certain "triggers" set, then certain words and phrases can help you to slip back into trance to re-experience programmed mind-states much faster and even effortlessly reach deep states of relaxation. There you can allow yourself to bask in the feeling of contentment and/or be further programmed to experience the changes you desire. By exploring the experiences and fantasies in your mind, you may or may not choose to eventually find courage to also explore them in real life in the real world. Another thing at least for me I think maybe, is that hypnosis has facilitated me to allow and accept parts of myself and deep desires I've had that have been suppressed for years out of guilt and shame. So, I think it can definitely help with mental distress, by allowing you to experience and express your feelings and desires in a safe space, free from judgement. And in that sense, I think it definitely has the potential to help with personal growth on an emotional level. I'd only hope that in the long run it can help people become more confident in themselves and their desires enough to grow personally and even be able to live out their fantasies in real life in their own way; if and when they ever feel ready. After all, it's kind of a drag to have sensual/sexual/erotic urges and desires that you never get to explore and experience in real life, don't you think? Yeah... I'd say so for sure!
