Interested in the whole hypno thing and have been for as long as I can remember.
I like hypnosis in all (well, most) of its forms, so I don't necessarily prefer one 'flavour', i.e. only femdom, or only male hypnotist/female subject etc. It all just depends on the scenario really.
As to what sparked my interest, I honestly don't know. There are a few key scenes from film/TV that I can recall, but I don't think any particular one of them started it off. I find magical mind control/transformation stuff sexy though, so one theory is that I gravitated towards hypno as a way to somehow make that 'real'.
I always accepted that the standard Hollywood examples of hypnosis were essentially total fantasy, but I always wondered (hoped?) that perhaps there may be a glimmer of truth in there that could be experienced in reality.
I'm still not entirely sure where the truth lies, but I strongly suspect there's a significant amount of role-playing going on in real-life experiences, although maybe I'm just cynical because I've had little or no success on the subject side so far.
At present, it feels like the subject side will remain a fantasy for me, as my inherently control-freaky nature seems incompatible with a move beyond trying to achieve trance using files in private. Although any 'live' attempts I have actually agreed to have been hampered by my natural inclination to keep one eye open at all times, metaphorically speaking.
In all honesty, if anything ever actually 'worked' for me, I think I'd probably freak out anyway.
I'll probably never give up trying, but there comes a point where I might just have to accept what I am and am not capable of.
I'm looking for a nice hypno-girl to work with, possibly in a mutually trancey kind of way, but that's not a deal-breaker. I'm actually not averse to an offer from a lady whichever side of the pocketwatch they prefer.
